I acheived my only Hole-In-One on October 23, 2002 at the Robert Trent Jones Highlands course at Hampton Cove. The miraculous feat happened on Hole #11 / 154 yards over water. The overall story has changed slightly over years in order to torment by best friend and sole witness Carl Parrish. We had both just played the par 4 10th hole when Carl had reminded me to add a stroke for a "wiff" swing taken at my ball under a tree. My club got caught on a limb on my back swing and threw off my downswing enough to miss my ball completely. After chipping out on the next swing, I chipped up and took a 7 on the hole.
On the 11th, Carl had honors and hit a wedge in the water. Although the hole was marked at 154 yards it was playing about 145 due to repairs on the tee. I "trued" a nine iron to the right on the hole about 25-30 feet away then watched the ball roll all the way in the hole!
